Scope of Practice

Dr. Lackey is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with specialized training in hand, upper extremity, and microsurgery from UC Irvine. He treats the full spectrum of hand, wrist, and elbow conditions, including nerve compression syndromes (carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel), tendon injuries and lacerations, fractures of the distal radius, scaphoid, and hand bones, ligament injuries, Dupuytren's contracture, trigger finger, and arthritis of the thumb and wrist. He also manages sports-related upper extremity injuries and performs reconstructive procedures including nerve repair and microsurgical techniques.

For most conditions, Dr. Lackey offers both conservative and surgical options and will pursue the least invasive appropriate treatment first. Your patients will receive a clear explanation of their diagnosis and a straightforward recommendation, without pressure toward surgery.
